Medical Qigong - Therapy Certification Course

The International Institute of Medical Qigong (IIMQ), Georgia Branch offers programs which lead to becoming a Certified Medical Qigong healer. The IIMQ offers training at 4 different levels from introductory up to Doctorate level. The entire training programing consists of:

Medical Qigong Practitioner (200 hrs) *
Medical Qigong Therapist (500 hrs) *
Master of Medical Qigong (1000 hrs)
Doctor of Medical Qigong (2000 hrs)

*Currently the Georgia Branch of the IIMQ offers certification in two of the above tracts: Medical Qigong Practitioner and Medical Qigong Therapist.

*Important information for prospective students*

Some significant changes are happening to the pricing structure of the Medical Qigong program we teach as Authorized Instructors of the International Institute of Medical Qigong. The IIMQ is moving towards tighter controls on standardization of the program which, in short, is a very good thing for students and the reputation of the program. However, for us, as providers we regretfully will be increasing our rate on each level. Beginning in 2013 all classes that are part of the IIMQ program will be a flat rate of $995. Therefore the total cost of certification in any level in the program will be $4975.

Our continued training with Dr. Shannon, Executive Director of the IIMQ, will ensure that you are receiving the same quality education and training you would if you flew to California. However, it is now available at a significant discount, locally on the East Coast. We look forward to continuing to provide high quality experiences, knowledge and training in the Eastern Arts.

Option #1:

P1 - Introduction to Medical Qigong Therapy - This option is best for the general public, students, clients, and practioners who are interested in learning the basics of qigong healing, 5 element theory, and Traditional Chinese Medicine without continuing for certification. It's a great option to learn more about the ancient healing secrets from China and the power of qigong. This option is a 5 day series shared with those who are continuing for certification. A certificate of completion is granted for all participants. Continuing education units are awarded upon completion for the following organizations : 32 GNA CEU's, 32 NCCAOM CEU's, 32 NCBTMB CEU's and ACE Approved 2.0 CEC's. Option #2:

Certified Medical Qigong Practioner - This 200 hour course is the first level to becoming a Doctor of Medical Qigong (DMQ). It is designed to teach the essential information for treating patients with medical qigong (qi emission). At the end of the course, you are granted the title Medical Qigong Practioner - MQP.

** Please note that once you have taken practitioner class two (P2), you are elligable to take classes from the therapist level even if you have not completed the entirety of practitioner level classes. In order to receive practitioner and/or thereapist level certificates of level completion which certify you as an MQP or MQT, all classes contained within each appopropriate level must be completed.
